Egyptian Cultural Festival 2024

"Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever." - Psalm 118:1

The Egyptian Cultural Festival 2024 was nothing short of extraordinary!

This year, we welcomed a larger than usual number of visitors through our Church gates. People from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and faiths came together to experience and witness the love, dedication, passion, humility, and unity demonstrated by every member of our congregation. Each servant tirelessly reflected the spirit and image of Christ, showing how deeply they cherish our blessed Church. We were also blessed by His Eminence Metropolitan Asheia and His Grace Bishop Daniel who prayed the Divine Liturgy on Sunday.

For over 40 years, our annual Festival has been a bridge between our Parish and the broader community of the Darebin City Council, introducing them to the Coptic Orthodox Church, our services, our rich history, Egyptian culture, and of course, our delicious cuisine. The success of the Festival is not measured by the funds raised, but by the love, unity, and fellowship displayed. This was truly felt and evident throughout the weekend.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended and to every servant who contributed their time and energy. From our youngest to our eldest, your tireless efforts, dedication, and love for our Church do not go unnoticed. May our gracious Lord bless you all for your hard work.

A special thanks to the many guests and dear friends of our Parish who supported us throughout the weekend, sharing in this blessed event with us. Thank you to Fire Rescue Victoria and Victoria Police for their attendance over the weekend and engaging with the children.

We thank our Lord for a truly blessed weekend and pray that He continues to bless, unite, and protect our beloved Parish family. #stmarkscocmelb
